We know that Christmas is not too far away when we get a call from Ollie Halford. For 10 years Ollie’s Christmas Trees has been selling trees and wreaths from the car park of The Tweseldown Pub on Beacon Hill Road in Fleet. For the last four years Sixth Sense Marketing has been managing the local marketing campaign for him.
But guess what? This preparations this year have been a little different! Uncertainty has hampered planning. It’s only in the last few days that the Government has classified retailers of Christmas Trees as essential workers.
Ollie’s Christmas Trees is open from now until 19 December
The good news is that Ollie is open for business. From 7am – 7pm daily until Saturday 19 December for trees of all sizes to fit all spaces. Speaking to Ollie, he said. “The preparations this year have been a bit harder than past years, but we’re here now, open and able to operate safely. The protocols we ask people to follow are the same as in other retail settings. Sanitise, wear a mask and keep 2m distance – plus we’re outside anyway of course! Now we’re classified as essential workers, there’s no need to complete a form or scan a QR code. Just pop down, adhere to the guidance and please be patient if we’re busy. One thing I guarantee is our service, humour and desire to find the best tree for you remains 100% unchanged. We look forward to seeing our regular customers again and hopefully some new ones too!”
